Why I do what I do...

Dad passed away in March 2010 with a very aggressive case of Motor Neurone Disease (MND).

This illness came out of the blue and made all his muscles waste away until last breath was taken 8 months after diagnosis.

During his treatment the MND Association really supported my family financially and emotionally giving Dad the very best in care, and continues to support the growing number of families affected by this disease whilst striving to find a cure.

Recent research by the MNDa has isolated a gene that causes an inherited form of the MND and the hope is for a world free of MND.

This charity needs further financial support to carry out their amazing work.

I am head of PE at a Comprehensive School in Essex have two children aged 2 & 10 and my wife is also a teacher.  I am incredibly driven and do all my training when my family are asleep twice a day 6 days a week and push my limits every day because i don’t know if I will be struck with the illness and hope a cure is found and wouldn’t want it to ever affect my children.

In this day an age no disease should be incurable.

I appreciate any donations you can make to cure the world of this disease.
